It's Not Over...A True Crime Story of Southern Corruption and Conspiracy

Thirty-five-year-old Haley Parker and thirty-six-year old Tommy Stone had quit their jobs, sold their house and risked everything they had to move to a small quiet town in the Foothills of Western North Carolina. They wanted to live the good country life, away from the hustle and bustle of their city life in Massachusetts. They had a plan: move to the south, get married and have children. But once there, they found themselves caught in a web of southern corruption and conspiracy where the locals manipulate the legal system and will do anything to protect their own.

Haley and Tommy sued their contractor Will Hammond. To them he was just a bad contractor, a southern bumpkin, a dumb redneck who swindled their money. While they attempt to represent themselves during trial in Will’s neck of the woods, they are drugged by the water in court. After trial is over they discover Will is related to the Sheriff, and his lawyer is a member of the Walk of Faith Fellowship; one of the top five most dangerous cults in America. This powerful religious cult thrives and dominates in their town. Haley and Tommy have no one to turn to when they realize the Good Ole’ Boys and the Walk of Faith Fellowship have joined forces.

As Haley fights to prove the GOB and the WOFF are involved, they are stalked and tormented by them. The closer she gets to the truth, the more powerful their forces become. When Tommy and the locals battle with disbelief and the depth of the true evil that surrounds them...Haley must prove her sanity to everyone while trying to protect herself and the man she loves.

             By Lee Foster

I.  Overview

It’s Not Over is an incredible true story of love and betrayal combined with crooked cops and a dangerous cult joining forces against Haley Parker and Tommy Stone. They were assaulted by powerful locals, and this book captures the fears and frustrations of an ordinary couple unexpectedly facing danger. A couple torn apart. The high depth and complexity of this story is real-world horror when they sued their contractor and were drugged and sabotaged during a four day trial in the South. When trial was over they were stalked and tormented by them.

My book begins the day after trial ended when Haley has a nightmare about the Walk of Faith Fellowship cult. At the time, she knew very little about them, hadn’t considered their involvement at all. She didn’t know it was them she had dreamt about. She had a premonition dream of some sort, an eye-opening growth of Spirituality. After a visit to the local hospital filled with employees who are members of the cult, Haley suspects the cult is involved.  She decides to research them on-line. It is when she learns the term “Blasting.” The cult practices blasting to scream the demons out of people. Haley dreamt she was being blasted. While Haley continues to research them on-line, she hears a woman’s voice through their computer speaker. “It’s not over,” she said. The stranger spoke without menace, in a matter of fact tone of voice. To Haley it's proof that their home is in fact being monitored and the cult is also involved. The unknown woman had quoted Haley’s exact words to Tommy when they argued days earlier.

Shocked with disbelief, Tommy struggles to support Haley while their lives are being invaded. He denies the depth of evil that surrounds them, meanwhile, their being watched and pursued,  and their home,  computer, and  phones are being monitored. Tommy's convinced Haley's paranoid and accuses her of going insane from the affects of being drugged. What took her and Tommy years to build, evil strangers stole in an instant. Haley is terrified of them, but she doesn’t know who or what frightens her more…them or Tommy’s constant doubt. She is shaken by the realization that he sees yet is blind, that he hears yet is deaf.

Tommy finally began to realize Haley's actions were not just of a paranoid woman, but a woman who had reasonable cause to  fear for their lives.  He needed to accept that her behavior was justified, none-the-less, uncertainty somehow continued to weigh on him. Haley knew Tommy would somehow lose his job because of them, but he didn’t  believe her until it was too late.  She knew what was to come as she felt God’s presence guiding her, but all she could do is watch it unfold, feeling powerless to change their ultimate goal - to protect themselves and destroy their enemy.

It is difficult to imagine a reader who wouldn’t be hooked by this paranoid thriller about the power of the Good Ole’ Boys and a cult who wields that power. The story is full of unbelievable mayhem with heart-wrenching revelations. It’s Not Over is a paranoid’s delight filled with relentless pace, unsettling suspense, and moral outrage.

II.  Style and Approach

It’s Not Over is a chilling true story of conspiracy and corruption intertwined by two controversial organizations, with mystery and suspense, political intrigue, and one woman’s unrelenting fight to prove her sanity and stop them before it‘s too late. It explores the vulnerabilities of moving far away from home, their experience as Pro Se Litigant’s in the south, and how it changed their lives. Haley and Tommy are haunted and wounded by the memory of their experience. This book is Haley’s hope of healing some of those wounds with promise that one day she will tell her story.

It’s told in third party through the eyes of the victim; the author of this book. It forms a complete picture of what’s happened and what’s to come. Alternating between the past - the days during trial - and the present - Haley and Tommy’s struggles as they fear for their lives. Focusing more on what is happening now - after trial, rather than the past - during trial. The character names are fictional during this time of courting. I have 34,000 words completed of an estimated 60,000 words. In whole my book will be completed in nine months from the date of the contract.

My approach is complex. I intend to warn the public that they don’t have to be a member of a cult to be victim of one, all they have to do is live near the cult’s compound. My book offers ample food for thought and readers will learn a valuable lesson; that they need to do extensive research before choosing to live far away from their roots, and to take caution when choosing to be a Pro Se Litigant in the South. I hope to inspire readers who have remained silent to tell their similar stories about the GOB and the WOFF, to expose the secrets of the south, and to raise awareness of the destruction they are capable of.

A short Prologue and Epilogue will be included. A special Introduction will be personal, me-to-you, addressing the reader in second person. In addition to the Introduction, I will insert some relative famous quotes and bible versus, such as:

“An ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort,
but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
~ Martin Luther King Jr.

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by each experience in which you
really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself,
“I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along."
~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them,
for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
~ Deuteronomy 31:6
